Dr. Karwande and Trent all "thumbs up"! |
When we registered for the x-ray today the woman who helped us recognized our names. She was so excited to hear that Trent was doing well. I guess the story of the poor guy with a BAD case of cancer and a young family to live for traveled throughout the hospital. While we were at St. Mark's today Trent kept commenting on how good it felt there. It's true. It is a great place, and it's even better when you don't have to stay!
We are having fun watching Trent's hair grow. I am going to start taking pictures. Today he noticed hair is starting to grow on his arms and hands again. He is getting enough hair on his head to almost make a shadow. Someday soon I will have to buy him shampoo! He is even getting the beginnings of eyebrows. I can't tell you how much I have missed his eyebrows! I never really noticed them before but when he lost them, that is when he looked really sick to me. Then the eyelashes fell out and he was really a cancer patient. I almost don't remember what he looked like before. Tonight we were looking at some old pictures and there were some of Trent looking really healthy. The first thing I noticed was his nice hair. The first thing Trent noticed was color in his skin. It is a great feeling knowing he will get there again.
Thumbs up! THat is a wonderful posting! Keep it up! Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteawesome. just AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI always leave this blog feeling so good! Let Trent grow those eyebrows out till they get nice and bushy, and while he's at it how 'bout some nose hairs and ear hairs. He deserves it. He's earned everyone.
ReplyDeleteHooray!
ReplyDeleteThe Butter's Family
Yay for eyebrow hair! Just don't let them get too bushy like the Frandsen boys....eew sick :) Teasing teasing.....
ReplyDelete***tears of JOY*** Prayers were answered- way to go!!!!
ReplyDeleteHair....we think of going bald. The very least of it, huh?? Never realize that nose hair filters and keeps our noses from running. What a miracle hair is. How great that our Maker thought of everything. Yeah, yeah, I realize sometimes head hair must not be essential...but bald heads are beautiful. High five for Dr. Karwande! He was a cutie. The only time I wondered about him was when Trent had been in surgery for an hour and we saw the doc wandering the halls??? What??? HUGS and KISSES, cancer survivors!!!!
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteTrent & Holly....We are sooooo Happy for Trent and your family...Best Wishes on regaining your strength and energy!! Spring does bring "New life"....We love you guys!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What amazing news! Bishop Hahne announced it in Sacrament meeting yesterday and showed the X-Ray of Trent's chest to the congregation. We are all still always praying for your family.
ReplyDeleteThe fun part now will be how Trent's hair will look. Mine grew back in curly, a different color, and soft like a baby's hair. But it will eventually go back to normal again!
Lots of Happy Tears and Jumps for JOY!!!
